Calif. cable-TV market opened to phone companies
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill on Friday creating a single statewide market for cable television by eliminating city-by-city franchises, opening the market to competition from telephone companies.
