Alien Speakers Bring Curves To Your Hi-Fi

I like the way that designers play around with speaker design. After all, rectangular can get a bit boring but, I’m sure that I’d never get bored looking at the Alfa [or Alpha] loudspeaker system from Czech audio outfit, SYMBIO Design.
These alien looking devices look alive and I’m pretty sure that if you left the room, they’d move. The Alfa speakers form part of a very unique home cinema set of speakers – with an equally unusual egg-shaped EGGO subwoofer.
These are 2-way bass reflex baffle speakers and the company makes a lot out of the incredibly rigid baffle and the composite material used in the speakers production for reducing unwanted resonance and delivering a very rich sound.
The Web site has more detail but the translation is not the hottest. Still, there are no prices for these speakers – which are made to order and in any colour - which means most of us will not be looking any further than this. See another shot below. -Martin Lynch
