Even with antivirus, spyware software and a good firewall, you can still be easy prey for cyber criminals and hackers. Read on to find out how YOU are giving online criminals free access to your personal and financial data.

You’ve done all the right things. You’ve installed a good firewall, you keep your antivirus up to date, and you’re making sure you keep up with the latest security patches… so your computer network should be {protected|safe} from identity thieves, right?

Wrong!

According to a recent study, 37% of electronic identity theft cases had one aspect in common: they were caused by an action taken by the user. That’s right, more than a third of identity thefts were not thefts, but giveaways!

So how do you avoid this happening to you and your company?

No one is 100% safe, but the following 3 tips will stop you from accidentally handing online criminals access to your computer network and confidential information:

1. Never visit or download free music files, videos or programs from file-sharing sites such as Kazaa. Not only are you downloading stolen materials, but these sites are surefire ways to introduce worms and viruses to your computer. If you are a business owner, set up web filtering software to prevent employees from downloading any unauthorized programs or files.

2. Never respond to any e-mail from a bank, credit card company, PayPal or online store where items are purchased (such as eBay) asking you to verify your account information, no matter how credible or legitimate it looks. These are phishing scams set up to access your account information.

3. Ask for identification from anyone asking for physical access to electronic equipment, and instruct staff do so as well. Just to test a theory, I asked a friend to walk into an office, say they are from “the phone company” responding to a problem, and ask to see the network. Access was granted to a complete stranger 100% of the time.

Informing your company’s employees is usually the responsibility of an IT management department or external IT consultant. Contact a IT managed services or corporate computer services firm if you have cyber theft concerns for your business.

Search engines can offer you highly targetted traffic, simply because visitors who find your site have searched for what you are selling. In order to make sure that you do not miss out on this important source of website traffic, your site must be highly visible to the search engines. Read more about Google.com through google secret loophole bonus materials.

Search engines, especially Google are very important to online businesses as they give life to it by providing traffic. Making sure your website is visible to the search engine is the first step to make sure you get all the advantages of search engine traffic. Search engines send software programs known as spiders to find websites to index. These programs crawl the web and simply find websites that will be indexed into the search engines. There are several easy steps that you can do to prevent common mistakes and problems that will make you invisible to the search bots.

Do you know that search engines cannot make sense of flash sites? They are only able to sort through text and little videos and images. So, search engines will not make sense of your site if it is full of animation and pictures and with little text. To make sure search engines understand your website, check the source code of your website. If you don’t see the text in the HTML code, search engine spiders won’t see it either. Spiders search for text and they consider this content.

What you should not forget is to put your keywords in the content of your website. Your target keyword should be related to your site and should be the same phrase that your visitors will search for to get to your website. Your title should contain your best keywords. It makes sense to put good keywords in the title since it usually describes what a website is all about. Sprinkle some keywords in the content of your website to affirm the relevancy of the keyword to your website. You will get banned by search engines if you spam your website with keywords.

You can get all the benefits of getting more search engine traffic if your website becomes visible to search engines and if your website is indexed. Do this and receive the gifts of search engine love.

When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?

For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.

At its core, internet marketing is about these things:

* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads

Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.

My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.

My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers – as we do – and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.

However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.

Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.

While there are many more aspects to internet marketing than just permission-based email marketing, email has definitely been the cornerstone on which our business is built.

It’s obvious that you are into a Fit when it comes to choosing your new television. 100 Manufacturers with 100 Models each with a 100 Different screen size and varied features driving you crazy. Help is around. You just need to ask.

First of all let’s consider the biggest question of the TV Buyer, Plasma or LCD? What’s the big difference? It’s a TV after all! Well its not. Knowing your requirements will actually help you make a decision.

Screen size: what Screen Size do you require? Where are you going to place your TV? In the Kitchen or your Bedroom where you are restricted to size, Or in your living room which can accommodate quite a Good screen Size?

Plasma Televisions are Quite Cheaper when it comes to large screen Size. Anything above 32 inches should be comparatively cheaper in the plasma range as to the LCD version

Plasma TV’s Are generally bulkier than its LCD Counterpart.

Clarity: As you may have special requirements apart from your Daily news and the cartoon for kids. For instance a Gaming TV requires that you have a good clarity and instant turn around time for vision. Plasma TV’s in this case have a few setbacks and certain advantages.

A plasma TV has something called a burn area. When an image is set on screen for a long time (Say for instance a log of BBC channel while you are on the news for more than a few minutes) it tends to burn the image in the area. Even after you switch off the Television you see an outline of the Logo. This is not really good if you are looking for a gaming PC. LCD TV’s Have Literally no Burn in.

Plasma TV on the other hand have great image Contrast and Specifically greater Visibility on Dark image areas. This is still an area which WAS drastically required on the LCD TV. The current LCD Televisions have gone a long way ahead in this area already and the difference is minimal though it still exists. LCD’s Have a graying effect on the image which deteriorates its image clarity Specifically the Color factor.

Viewing angle: LCD TV has a maximum viewing angel of 160-175 Degree but the quality deteriorates as the angle increases. Plasma television on the other hand maintains its quality even at a decent 160 degree angle

Screen Life: Though LCD TV boasts a 40 Year screen life with 4 hours of TV viewing a day as compared to the 20 year screen life with its counterpart Plasma TV you could always count in on at least 20 years for an LCD TV and a Good 10 years for the Plasma.

Power Consumption: Plasma TV’s May be cheaper initially but will drain in a lot more power than the LCD Television. If you look at the Cost structure you would probably pay more than the TV price for Power on a plasma TV than that for an LCD.

Conclusion: Based on your requirement if your factor is Size

The bigger Screen size with Great performance for General TV viewing and you have a fixed budget go for Plasma. On the other hand if you are looking for Special Purpose TV for gaming etc and looking for more life for your television check out the Plasma TV’s.

Note: Based on Research, We find that more people Buy LCD TV than the Plasma Version. The reason for their choice is not been obvious yet. We also noticed that the Sony and Samsung Version of the LCD Televisions are sold more than their competitors.

Find Comparisons on Sony LCD TV and Samsung LCD TV Here. For the best prices. This article is a based on Research on Google Trends by Web Design India.

Anyone who plans to take a home loan would like to see the details of amortization process before finalizing the deal. But the fact is that most of the consumers are unaware of complicated formulas and calculations involved in the process. They rely on loan agents or some friend from the same industry for the information.

Need Help In Amortization Process?

The good news for you, in case you do not know, is that on every home loan site on internet, there is a gadget available that is called a loan calculator or amortization calculator. It is also known as mortgage rate calculator or mortgage calculator. This calculator uses mathematical formulas and figures automatically and returns you easy to comprehend information.

It is free of cost and convenient to use. It asks for simple details like loan amount, duration, interest rate, loan start date etc. and in turn gives you a detailed amortization table.

An amortization table is a combination of rows and columns. It gives you data like year, month, monthly payment amount, principal paid, interest paid, total interest paid till date, and balance amount.

Isn’t it amazing? All the information is at your disposal within a fraction of second. You can recalculate figures, as many times as you want just by changing interest rate, time period or amount.

Advantages Of A Loan Calculator

Due to this free online service, the working of all the financial organizations and government or non-government bodies has become transparent. This transparency has resulted in an improved consumer’s trust and an increase in loan business. The privacy of the prospective loan applier also remains intact. Without disclosing personal details, the consumer can check whether he/ she can afford a loan or not.

As most of the sites do not ask for any type of registration before using debt consolidation loan calculator, it helps the consumer explore the best offer. All the information you have gathered using online calculator can be helpful while discussing the loan offer. As you would be well equipped with knowledge, you can ask for more margins or discounts on the deal.

Mortgage calculator helps you in trying out different combinations with your loan details. It allows you to calculate how much you can save over the time if you make an extra payment at the start of the loan. Whether you should pay a lump sum towards the principal balance or you should pay a small amount with each monthly installment, the calculator can help you decide this as well. The important point is to spend time playing with this tool. This exercise will give you an insight into how to save some extra dollars on your mortgage.

You must make use of this brilliant gadget to empower yourself and get the best deal in the market.

Debt consolidation loan calculator is a powerful tool.

HD ready is a label you have probably seen in various pieces of video equipment, for instance television sets or DVD players. If you are planning to purchase video equipment of any kind, you must be familiar with HD and HD ready, so you can make educated choices as a consumer.

The label ‘HD ready’ refers to the ability of the product to handle high definition (HD) video. HD video is a video standard of higher resolutions than those supported by older standards. A display system must support video resolutions of 720 to 1080 vertical lines for it to be considered HD ready.

In order to view high definition video content, one must have a display unit that can handle high resolution video. These include most computer screens, modern television sets and many movie projectors. When purchasing a display unit, especially in the case of a television set, one must be careful to select one that supports HD video.

There are different labels used in high definition compatible video equipment, depending on the modes the product supports. Simply ‘HD ready’ means that at least the minimum resolution of 720 vertical lines is supported, while Full HD and HD 1080 both refer to the resolution of 1080 vertical lines, which is the maximum supported in the standard. High definition video usually has an aspect ratio of 16:9, although 4:3 is also sometimes used.

Sometimes additional information is included. The letters ‘p’ or ‘i’ refer to progressive or non-progressive modes, respectively. A slash followed by a number tells the update frequency. Therefore, 720p/60 means that a piece of equipment supports resolution of 720 vertical lines of progressive video with a frequency of 60 frames per second. This is a common video mode in LCD displays.

In addition to the display unit, the source must also be high definition compatible. This means that to watch HD movies, the DVD player must also be HD ready. Similarly, to enjoy the full benefits of an HD television set, the television broadcast must be in high definition format (HDTV).

For a good video system, all the parts must be able to handle high definition video. This includes not only the above mentioned disc player and display unit, but also all the connections used between them. The source media must naturally also be in a format of HD resolution. Also the mode matters, so for best possible effect all the parts of the system should support full HD.

Does your home have a water purifier? Do you know what a water purifier can do? Well it is about time you read up this article as you will find out the wonders of water purifiers.

Have you ever wondered what might be lurking in the tap water you drink everyday? Well if you do not know, fungi, bacteria and toxic metals are some of the things that may contaminate tap water. If you think of the safety of your family members, do invest in a water purifier.

Types of purifiers

There are many types of water purifiers available in the market. Most homes use ionization filters, which attract contaminant particles using static electricity. However, ionizers are considered the most expensive kind of water purification system. A cheaper alternative is a charcoal filter. It uses ground charcoal to absorb the particles, thus cleaning the water.

Purified water

Purified water should taste clean, light and fresh. Some water purifiers however, remove important elements in water thus making it taste bland. An example of this of this is distillers. They tend to boil out the oxygen content and make the water taste bland. Despite this, it does not compromise the quality of the water but you should try your best to avoid distilled water if the bland taste bothers you.

Power saver

Water purifier must be efficient. It must also be energy efficient. Water purifiers should use up as little power as possible to filter a reasonable amount of water. Sometimes, the government rates these water purifiers for power efficiency. If you are looking for a water purification system, do look out for the government approval seal.

It is important to keep your family safe. It is also important that the water they are drinking is safe. Water is very important as it is one of the most essential factors ensuring the existence of life on earth. A major part of the human body is made up of water. It is necessary that we drink water that is free from impurities for a healthy life.

It is necessary to buy a water purifier as it makes the water from your tap safe for drinking. It is important to drink clean water as you would not fall sick easily. Therefore, if you are looking for a water purifier, make sure that you buy a power saving water purifier and one that suits your budget.
